Nigeria Customers Visit Slaughterhouse, Focus on WFA Engineering Slaughter Line Technology
A crosscontinental field visit recently took place at the WFA Engineering slaughterhouse. A delegation of customer representatives from several meat processing enterprises in Nigeria visited the facility, conducting a twoday onsite inspection and technical exchange centered on the WFA Engineering Slaughter Line. The purpose of the visit was to gain indepth knowledge of WFA Engineering’s proven experience in slaughter line design, equipment integration, and operations management, providing technical references for new slaughterhouse projects and renovations in Nigeria.
Accompanied by WFA Engineering’s technical team, the customer delegation toured all key sections of the WFA Engineering Slaughter Line, including livestock reception, electric stunning, bleeding, scalding, splitting, viscera handling, and rapid chilling. At each station, WFA Engineering’ engineers demonstrated equipment operation procedures on site and explained safety control logic and sanitary design details in depth. The Nigerian customers paid special attention to the automation level and continuous operation capability of the production line. During a simulated peak slaughter operation, the entire WFA Engineering Slaughter Line maintained a steady rhythm with smooth equipment coordination and no significant backlogs or jams. The customers recorded a large amount of operational data on site and gave repeated positive feedback on the conveying system, zone separation design, and cleaning and sanitizing devices.

After the tour, a technical seminar was held. The Nigerian customer representative openly stated that the WFA Engineering Slaughter Line has a very professional overall layout, and that the equipment materials, weld finishing, and electrical protection all meet firstclass international standards. Particularly in the hot and humid conditions common in Africa, the corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance of this slaughter line were very impressive. Several customers specifically mentioned that the onsite management system, personnel operation standards, and realtime data recording system at the WFA Engineering slaughterhouse provide them with a management model that can be directly replicated. Some customers expressed on the spot their desire to invite the WFA Engineering team to Nigeria for preliminary site surveys and solution design.
In addition to the visit, a dedicated technical training session was arranged. WFA Engineering’s engineers provided detailed explanations on daily inspection, replacement cycles of wear parts, common troubleshooting, and remote diagnostic functions related to the WFA Engineering Slaughter Line. The technical leader of the Nigerian customer team participated throughout and personally performed parameter adjustments and emergency stop reset operations on the simulation console. Through a combination of theoretical explanation and handson practice, the customer’s technical team gained a systematic understanding of the PLC control logic, hydraulic system maintenance points, and cleaning program setup. WFA Engineering also provided the customers with a bilingual operation manual (ChinesePortuguese) and a spare parts list to facilitate local operation and maintenance in the future.

This visit was not just a technical showcase and learning opportunity; it also marked the entry of both sides into a substantive cooperation phase. According to the head of WFA Engineering’s international marketing department, Nigeria is currently in a critical period of upgrading its meat processing facilities, with a clear demand for a stable, efficient, and easytomaintain WFA Engineering Slaughter Line. The two parties have reached preliminary intentions on several cooperation items, including WFA Engineering providing a complete line renovation solution for a mediumsized slaughterhouse in Nigeria, jointly conducting a local technical personnel training program, and establishing a remote operation and maintenance support mechanism to reduce crossborder service costs.

A single visit builds trust; a single learning session opens the door to cooperation. WFA Engineering has always been committed to using the WFA Engineering Slaughter Line as its core platform to provide global customers with onestop services ranging from design and manufacturing to training and aftersales support. The visit and recognition from the Nigerian customers once again confirm WFA Engineering’s professional standing in the slaughter engineering field. In the future, WFA Engineering will continue to welcome more international customers to its factory and slaughterhouse, driving continuous upgrading of the global meat processing industry through visible quality and heard praise.
